Mommy Master of the Month

Congratulations to Nicolle Jones, this month’s Mommy Master.  To say Nicolle is an inspiration to us all would be an understatement.  She gives confidence to our youth, let’s them know they are valued and creates ways for the community to get involved.  Wow!

Made Wonderfully Inc. is a faith based 501c(3) nonprofit whose mission is to inspire youth and families to unlock their God-given value and potential through fun, character enriching programs and events. We do this by conducting Life Lesson Learned in the Kitchen classes for children 5-18 yrs of age and by hosting community events for specific family relationships, such as our Father Daughter Ball and our M*A*S*H (Mother And Son Hangout) event coming up on May 15th.

hillsjones091815_15896081_8colWhile working the overnight shift at a Foster Care Home, I would lovingly listen while my girls shared their stories, dreams and heartaches with me. At 4a.m. one morning, while everyone was asleep, the curriculum that ties in life lessons with baking was born! I often say God downloaded the curriculum to me as it literally struck me that night while I was praying and crying over what a sweet little girl shared with me. I have now had the privilege to conduct these lessons with several groups of children in and out of the Foster Care system. I must say EVERYONE needs to hear they are made wonderfully; EVERYONE needs to know they are valuable!

My amazing husband was the one who came up with the idea to have a community wide Father Daughter Ball over three years ago. His vision was and is to have this event be second only to our daughter’s wedding day. He believes that fathers and men of influence have a responsibility to instill value and worth into the young ladies in their lives. Several months after he shared this with me, we held Tampa Bay’s First Annual Father Daughter Ball at The Regent in Riverview, Fl.

About two years later, Made Wonderfully Inc. was stood up as a way to combine both efforts and reach more children and families. Our future goals are to add a Husband and Wife and Family event to the yearly calendar and to conduct the Life Lessons Learned in the Kitchen classes as an after school program all over the Bay Area!

I am honored to hold the title of “Mommy Master”, not because I have mastered motherhood, or really anything for that matter, but because I am striving to leave an imprint on those I am blessed to encounter. An imprint that will encourage, edify and motivate others to recognize their value and abilities.

As Mother’s day is just about here, I am reflecting a lot on the little life I get to inspire, pour into and mold every day. My beautiful daughter has made me want to be a better person. She has the biggest heart and loves to hear about all the classes I am doing. The best part of being a Mompreneur is showing her that her dreams can become a reality and that every effort to make a difference counts.
